3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park

Overview

This 3-day safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda is the perfect blend of game viewing, primate tracking, and scenic boat cruise. The adventure begins with a drive from Kampala, where you will encounter beautiful scenery, such as the Rwenzori mountain ranges and table-like tea plantations. Trek the human close relatives in Kyambura Gorge on your second day in the morning followed by an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel to spot water-loving animals and birds. The third day commences with an early game drive to watch early raises like lions, jackals, hyenas, leopards and more before returning to Kampala. The tour will end with a drop-off at any agreed point.

Detailed Itinerary

Day1. Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Be picked up from the agreed point in Kampala or Entebbe by the assigned driver guide and immediately begin the safari with a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. The journey is amazing covered with beautiful scenery of tea plantations, Rwenzori mountain ranges, rolling hills, and more. Arrive and check in at the accommodation facility for your dinner.

 

Day2. Chimpanzee tracking and boat cruise

Have breakfast after waking up and then head for briefing at the park offices. Be told about the dos and don'ts to follow such as don't feed wild animals, always keeping a distance, don't use a flashlight camera, and many more others. Begin the search with the guidance of the park ranger guide meeting other attractions. On meeting the chimpanzees, spend an hour following their behaviors and movements though, the overall experience lasts for about 3 to 5 hours. In the the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, bushbucks, buffalos, water birds like pelicans, fish eagles, kingfishers, and many more. Head back to the lodge for your dinner.

Day3. Game drive and head back to Kampala

Have an early morning game drive to spot animals like lions, buffalos, elephants, hyenas, leopards, hippos, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, giant forest hogs, topi, and many more. After a two-hour game drive, have breakfast and then hit the road to Kampala and drop at an agreed point and this marks the end of the safari.
